Does India Need Potential Female Entrepreneurs?

It is true that India needs potential women entrepreneurs. However, why do we not get to hear of a company being led by a woman more often? Not every woman can be expected to become as successful as Indra Nooyi, the CFO and President of PepsiCo. However, they can at least take up the responsibility of a startup. In spite of their leadership skills, they are unable to continue because of many reasons. The society expects them to strike a balance between managing the house and managing their own business, the banks do not consider them able enough to grant a huge funding compared to their male counterparts. Moreover, not every woman gets the exposure of the lifestyle that she needs in order to develop independence, both emotional and financial. Hence, in order to promote more female leaders, it is important to extend equal opportunities to women even in the rural areas so that their skills are enhanced.
