By Rishi Raj
When forest becomes fire;
When leachates ingress lakes;
Water hoses come into action
To tame the untameable calamity.
When foundation start shaking;
When ceiling start cracking;
Insurance come to shroud the flaw
To rescue one with shattered home.
When Cirque lake’s mud bank breaks;
When steep slope turns into landslide;
Condolences come pouring from all over
To the buried soul – died untimely death.
When cloud bursts happen unknowingly;
When parched soil is flown away;
Government awakes from its slumber
To douse the rebellion in making.
When, and how, and what, and where;
On and on we can go, until
We learn to maintain the delicate balance;
Nature will knock: furiously, inevitably.
